The directions are released to establish the system on appraisal of archives preservation value and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness for disposition. They are applied to the situations stipulated in Article 13 of the Enforcement Rules of the Archives Act.
The directions stipulate the operations and processes of determining the value of records. The general provisions of the directions include the evaluation principle, how to conduct appraisal, and the essential elements of the appraisal report.
