Integrate Archives into Teaching and Learning

To make people more interested in accessing archives, National Archives Administration (NAA) compiled digital teaching resources, organized school visits, classroom learning and so forth to promote teachers and students’ awareness of archives. Furthermore, they have an interest in utilizing archives in learning and teaching.

1. Archival Resources for Teaching (ART)
To enhance the use of archives for teaching and research, NAA compiled and imported seven themes to the ART website, including “Pre-1949 KMT-CCP Relationship”, “Handover and Governance of Taiwan in the Beginning of Retrocession”, “Nation’s Major Development Before 1949: War of Resistance against Japan, 1937-1945”, “Political Development in Taiwan After 1949”, “Economic Development in Taiwan, 1945-1981”, “The Development of Parliament and Local Self-Government in Taiwan, 1945-1998”, and “Agricultural and Industrial Development and Transformation in Taiwan” for the public to download and use.

2. Archives Instruction
To integrate archives instruction into school teaching and learning, NAA organized school visits, or assigned staff to school to introduce the preservation and conservation of archival resources, the search and access to archives, application and promotion of archives, the writing of essays, or contents of thematic archives and so forth. Also, NAA arranged tour guide services for school visits. Welcome and Apply.
